BOOKING CONDITIONS

Deposits:

All bookings are secured on a non refundable deposit (cash, cheque or card).

Check In/Out:

Check in times are between 12noon and 6pm on day of arrival, Check out time is before 10am on day of departure (these times may be flexible by prior arrangement).

Cancellations:

In the event that you cancel your booking we will endeavour to re-let your room, if however we cannot re-let your booked dates with us you will be liable for the cost, with this in mind we recommend you consider holiday insurance for long stays.

Smoking:

We insist guests do not smoke anywhere inside the building, Failure to comply with this request will result in guests being asked to leave (day or night) without recompense and extra charges (min £75, max unlimited) will be incurred to cover damage/extra cleaning and loss of business.

Take away Food:

Guests are asked not to consume food in there rooms as this leads to marks/odours that are difficult to remove, if this request is ignored we may charge for the extra cleaning costs. (min £50, max unlimited)

Damage:

Any damage should be reported as soon as possible to allow us to repair as necessary and so causing as little disruption to present and future guests, we reserve the right to charge for damage and loss of business to an unlimited amount.

Charges:

Any excess charges/unpaid bills will be passed to a debt recovery agent and their charges added to the unpaid amount.

We apologise if any of the conditions above offend, but due to a small minority we find ourselves in a position where we have to protect ourselves and our business, thank you for your understanding.

Introduction
Marine View Guest House was, (as most of Scarborough) built over one hundred years ago and as such providing disabled access is difficult although we will help as much as humanly possible

 • Car parking is on the street and as such we are unable to guarantee spaces 'outside the door'

 Main Entrance & Reception
 • the entrance to the property is via a short path with 3 steps.
• There is a lounge which is available to guests on the ground floor

 Public Areas - General (Internal)
 • unfortunately we do not have a lift; the dining room is 12 steps down from ground floor level. 

 Public Areas - WC
 • we do not have a separate public WC as all rooms have their own en-suite facilities.

 • we have a patio area for guest use to the front of the property which has one step up from footpath level.
